Was up visiting from Winston-Salem and found this trail on Singletrack.com. Indeed happy I did!
Signficant effort has been put in to make this, much appreciated! Very easy to find, and trail itself very well marked – great when you ride it for the first time, no turn around or guessing. Nice flow, not very fast or technical, good beginner-intermidiate and in a beautiful setting around the stream. Trail in great condition, not too many nasty roots etc. and a few good berms to sweep around. Front 5miles offers a good work out, and I really look forward to come back and ride the back 2-miler when it has settled a little. That back loop appears to be very newly constructed but looks very promising, and a little faster than the other. Fun to push it!
Overall impression great, very welcoming with good signage and I think every rider realize and appreciate the hard work that has been put in! I would recommend to ride with glasses, some narrow sections and branches hanging low, but nothing extra ordinary. Good parking and a porta potty at trailhead.
