Reporting Downed Trees and other trail hazards

Something that has been an issue for a long to is the location downed trees and other obstacles on trails by riders. We always appreciate it when folks let us know there is a problem but quite often the description of the location is just not clear enough to locate especially on larger longer trails.  So Finally we have figured a way to report downed trees and other issues through Strava.

By “geotaging” photos of these obstacles on your ride and adding these images to your ride they automatically attach themselves to the Strava map. This makes it SUPER easy for trail workers to locate and remove. We know not everyone uses Strava but if you do here how it works:

1.First click your cell phones camera app and got to its settings
2. Enable Geo Tag Photos
3. Then on your ride, just snap a picture of the downed tree or whatever
4. Upload your ride to strava as normal
5. Once ride is uploaded edit the ride and add the pictures from your phone. They will automatically attach to the correct location on the Strava map of your ride. (See image 2)

This will help us locate and remove these fast so we can ALL ride freely without having to stop and walk around. Please notify Bob Norris the ride to so clean up can begin.

***NOTE*** Geo tagged photo locations can only be viewed in a web browser not the mobile app IE Internet Explorer Chrome Firefox
